Site Search Service

The Office of Technology Services (OTech) offers all State departments a free website search service utilizing Google Site Search (GSS). The service will be replacing our Google Search Appliance (GSA) and all existing search customers will need to migrate over to the new service. Here is a quick overview of the Site Search service and migration process that was given at the January 13, 2011 Webmasters User Group meeting.

To initiate the service for your web site(s), follow these steps:

Open a Service (Help) Ticket

  1. Call the OTech Service Desk at (916) 464-4311 or email service.desk(at)state.ca.gov.
  2. Request “OTech Google Site Search Service”.
  3. Assign the ticket to “Web Services”.
  4. Be sure to include your site URL(s) and your contact information.
